Job Responsibilities :

• Review and process new customer applications and credit approvals for credit customers, determining appropriate credit limits and setting up new customer accounts accurately.
• Provide support to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and assist with various tasks within the department.
• Record and post daily cash receipts, including cash, checks, ACH, and wires, in the accounting system for assigned accounts.
• Proactively contact customers to address any collection issues and minimize bad debts.
• Take ownership of customer issues and work towards resolving them under AR Supervisor’s instructions.
• Investigate, follow up and reconcile returns, chargebacks, and unknown payment deductions with customers.
• Maintain organized and accurate records for major and club customers' accounts, ensuring timely updates in the accounting system.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) accounts and promptly communicate any discrepancies or potential problems to AR Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with AR policies and procedures and report accordingly in a timely manner.
• Provide recommendations for improving the Accounts Receivable / Credit operations to AR Supervisor.
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly AR tasks promptly.
• Quickly grasp our company's system and operations.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of an AA degree in accounting or business administration.
• 2+ years of experience working in AR accounting and collections.
• Experience dealing with big box retailers is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Dynamics is preferred.
• A background in a similar merchandise industry is preferred.
