Are you passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture and nurturing top talent? ETHOS is seeking a dedicated Field Human Resources Manager to provide invaluable support to four of our vibrant veterinary hospitals across Massachusetts.

  • Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital (Woburn, MA)
  • Bulger Veterinary Hospital (Lawrence, MA)
  • Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital (Portsmouth, NH)
  • Boston West Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (Natick, MA)

This position is in-person, requiring regular travel between hospitals with approximately 15% remote work

Key Responsibilities :

  • Empowerment and Support : Serve as the go-to HR resource for employees and managers, fostering an inclusive culture, and addressing workplace concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Strategic Collaboration : Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to implement HR programs seamlessly, ensuring effective communication and anticipating challenges.
  • Employee Relations : Proactively manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, providing guidance, conducting investigations, and collaborating with HR Business Partners and legal counsel as needed.
  • Performance Enhancement : Coach leaders through performance concerns, facilitate performance reviews, and ensure fair and equitable treatment across all levels.
  • Compliance and Analytics : Maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations while leveraging data and analytics to drive meaningful insights and strategies.

Compensation :

$85k - $95k pending experience and skill set.

Qualifications :

  • Experience and Education : Bachelor's degree + 2 years as a Generalist. If no Bachelor's degree, then 5 years in HR / Generalist role.
  • Technical Proficiency : Proficient in MS Office applications and HRIS systems; Ceridian experience is advantageous.
  • Proactive Problem Solver : Navigate ambiguity with ease,handling multiple tasks, and prioritizing effectively.
  • HR Expertise : Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws, with a knack for navigating ambiguous situations.
  • Empathetic Leader : Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, fostering trust and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
