This is a non-benefitted, (up to 18.75 hour / week), renewable contract position. Individuals hired will accrue sick leave, and summer / non-semester hours are very flexible.
General Statement of Duties :
- Provide top notch customer service.
- Assist students, faculty and staff with online services and computer-related issues. Common requests include access to campus accounts, printing, connecting to campus Wi-Fi, and other online services such as Blackboard, Gmail and Self Service and other software-based programs.
- Support the IT Service Desk loaner equipment program which is available to the MMA community.
- Create, triage and complete tickets in the online IT Service Desk system, Fresh Service.
- Upgrade computers.
- Support campus printers.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
Qualifications :
- Experience providing Tier 1 support to a variety of computer systems and services.
- Able to provide excellent customer service to a community with diverse technical backgrounds.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation : $20.00 / hour
Supervisor : IT Service Desk Supervisor
Shift : Weekly schedule would consist of a maximum of 18.75 hours as follows
Fall & Spring Semesters :
- 3 evenings / week : 5pm - 9pm, Monday - Thursday (Monday and Thursday preferred, plus one additional evening, either Tuesday or Wednesday)
- Saturday 8am - 4pm
Non-Semester / interim periods :
Up to 20 hours per week on weekdays
Salary
$20.00 / hour
