Pay Rate : $15.60 hour
16 hours per week Saturday and Sunday 11pm-7 : 30am
GENERAL SCOPE : Maintains the security of the building and meets the safety needs of the residents. Performs scheduled light maintenance and housekeeping as directed by the Summit Facility Services Manager.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION : High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of the Security Guard Act 8, 16 hour training class and Annual 8 hour certificate by an accredited school.
This may be supplemented by security training in a police academy or recognized security instruction through the military or civilian training.
Must have a current NYS certificate in compliance with Security Guard Act.
Must have a current, valid NYS driver’s license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Conducts walking rounds of the interior and exterior of the Summit buildings to insure building safety, remaining alert and observant for hazards or security breaches.
- Investigates and reports all fire hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Responds promptly to all emergency situations. If needed, conducts investigations and submits written reports.
- Assists residents, visitors and staff.
- Minor repairs as directed by the Facility Services Manager.
- Completes housekeeping and maintenance duties as requested.
- All other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE : One (1) year of security experience in health care or related field helpful. Experience with MS Office and MS Outlook preferred.
