Utility Porter
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Utility Porter to join our team at Alliance Building Services. As a Utility Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining Class A facilities by ensuring cleanliness, safety, and efficient operations.
Your expertise in various flooring machines and techniques will be essential for success in this role
Responsibilities :
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Operate and maintain floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and other specialized equipment.
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards and report any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Respond to urgent cleaning requests or spills.
- Follow established protocols for handling hazardous materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.
- Provide exceptional customer service to building occupants.
Job Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Utility Porter or similar role.
- Proficiency in operating floor cleaning equipment (e.g., buffers, polishers, steam cleaners).
- Knowledge of different flooring types (carpet, tile, hardwood) and appropriate cleaning methods.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
