Valid driver’s license, current insurance and access to a vehicle are required

Education Requirements : Bachelor’s degree with a Professional Educator License as a teacher, counselor, or social worker preferred.

Experience in education or related experience in dealing with at-risk youth.

Performance Responsibilities :

  • Maintain a professional environment at all times
  • Meets with school staff, students, and parents regarding academic and mental health issues
  • Conducts school conferences and attend meetings dealing with school related issues
  • Provides options for academics, mental health, and community-based services including prosocial activities
  • Completes reports and submits to the Assistant Regional Superintendent / Coordinator of Alternative Programs
  • Keeps a log of activities
  • Supports individual service plans for all students on active caseload from Alt Programs
  • Meets regularly with the Assistant Regional Superintendent / Coordinator of Alternative Programs regarding handling of specific cases and programmatic needs
  • Makes referrals to community agencies and programs or other ROE personnel for more in-depth assistance
  • Meets with school district administration for networking and coordination
  • Facilitates presentations for schools, parents, and community agencies
  • Shares information about vocational / educational opportunities within Kane County and with Kane County Workforce Development
  • Enrolls and monitors students, parents, and teachers in online learning platform
  • Participate in community agency meetings and networks
  • Aids in the development of protocols for the grant
  • All requirements of the Community Partnership Grant
  • Any and all responsibilities assigned by the Regional Superintendent or Cabinet level supervisor
