What You’ll Do
Verify patient eligibility when needed
Support the facility's Business Office Manager by reviewing and balancing the daily census
Prepare and review patient claims for accuracy and completeness, resolving discrepancies
Bill claims to Medicare and Managed Care payors (primary and secondary)
Track claim status and resolve rejections
Participate in the month-end close process
Spot billing trends and carrier-related issues
Stay up-to-date on Medicare and insurance billing practices through ongoing education
Take on additional duties as assigned
What You Bring
High school diploma (required)
At least 1 year of Medicare / Managed Care billing experience (required)
Office experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and respect for confidentiality
Integrity, discretion, and professionalism
