Job Description
The Driver position is responsible for safely transporting structural steel materials to various vending and job sites in and around Central Texas. This position involves ensuring the safe loading and unloading of materials while securing them properly for transportation. Drivers will comply with all state, federal, and company regulations to meet safety and quality standards.
Minimum starting : $25.00 per hour - depending on qualifications and experience
Essential Functions :
- Secure materials by means of chaining, strapping, and blocking under strict accordance and established procedures.
- Perform pre- and post- trip inspections; inspect the truck for defects and safe operating conditions, before, during, and after delivery trips.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicle.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, and radiator fluid or performing minor repairs.
- Complete DOT-required drivers' daily log and trip sheets accurately without misrepresentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
