Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Cobol Developer to join their team. As a Cobol Developer, you will be part of the Mainframe Development Department supporting critical enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title : Cobol Developer - CO

Location : Greenwood Village, CO (100% Onsite)

Position type : 12+ months with high possiblity of extension / Conversion

What's the Job?

  • Design, develop, and maintain mainframe computer systems and software applications.
  • Review code and designs for testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Modify mainframe applications using programming languages like COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
  • Perform performance tuning of mainframe systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with remote team members and support activities to ensure system reliability.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Ten or more years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in an IBM Mainframe environment with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IBM Mainframe ZOS toolsets.
  • Strong knowledge of DB2, IDCAMS, SyncSort, File-Master, and FTP / NDM for file transmission.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in technical documentation.
