Accounts Payable Specialist- CONTRACT

Vaco is hiring an onsite Accounts Payable Specialist for one of our top clients in Phoenix. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.  This is a contract position, paying up to $26 per hour.

Key Responsibilities :

• Process high-volume invoices in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
• Review and verify invoices and check requests for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or payment issues.
• Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries regarding payments or account status.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and tax regulations.
• Work closely with internal departments to resolve purchase order and receiving discrepancies.
• Support audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
