A company is looking for a Coding Specialist II-REMOTE. Key Responsibilities Interprets medical record data to process charges and assigns appropriate ICD-CM and CPT codes Abstracts and enters codes and demographic information into the computer system, ensuring accuracy and completeness Participates in documentation training and quality assurance efforts related to coding practices Required Qualifications High School education plus medical coding certification Preferred training in medical terminology from an accredited program Three years of medical abstraction and coding experience or related work experience Knowledge of ICD-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding systems, and relevant federal / state guidelines Intermediate level computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications
