Purpose :
Performs professional level computer duties for all aspects of enterprise-wide multi-protocol and multi-
topology communications network which includes overseeing network design, diagnosing problems,
purchasing equipment and scheduling maintenance and repairs.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities :
- Configure, upgrade, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the enterprise network
- Interact with customers to help resolve network issues
- Work cross-department (Help Desk, Applications) to resolve network issues
- Troubleshoot firewall issues
- Implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Maintain PCI and HIPAA compliance for the network
- Configure and administer VPN connections
- Configure and administer 2-factor authentication systems
- Configure and administer corporate wireless (Cisco)
- Configure and administer all network switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco)
- Network upgrades to fix bugs and security holes
- Maintain network diagrams
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and Specifies and purchases new hardware and software.
- On-call rotation : Some evenings, overnight, and weekend work will periodically be for deployments and releases. This position periodically serves on an on-call rotating schedule.
