Overview
1.50 / hr. shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift
21.57-$26.10)
Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspections from customer drawings with some complexity of GD&T and visual inspection throughout the fabrication and assembly process.
- Experience with measuring tools – caliper, venires, micrometers, mil thickness gage, CMM experience preferred.
- Documents, files, and maintains inspection records as well as other quality assurance documents including Customer sample submissions.
- Effectively document and control all Non-Conforming Material. Initiates, distributes, and assists in resolution of non-conforming product issues including handling of quarantine, on hold and rejected materials.
- Interface with Quality department, Engineering, Purchasing, and Team Leads on quality issues and report out.
- Report to and sometimes lead various meetings through the work week.
- Develop work standards and documents as required.
- Assist and perform assigned tasks as they relate to Continuous Improvement projects.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent; six months to one-year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to work with fractions, percentages, and both imperial and metric measurements. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry preferred.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, tape measures, etc; must be able to read blueprints
