Job Title : Bakery Operator

Job Description

The Bakery Operator position is an entry-level training role responsible for operating various production and packaging equipment. Reporting to the Line Supervisor, the Operator will assist with machinery and equipment management, ensuring proper operation as per work instructions. Training will be provided to ensure proficiency in selected equipment, with opportunities for certification and advancement to Senior Operator. Responsibilities include managing weights, settings, packaging, quality, and more. Safety is a priority, and the Operator must alert management to any safety or quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to all safety, GMP, and quality policies and regulations.
• Monitor all production areas to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
• Assist with training and cross-training when necessary.
• Provide breaks and lunch rotations to employees as directed.
• Continuously improve knowledge of products and manufacturing requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness of all responsible areas during and after production runs.
• Monitor finished product quality, focusing on reducing defects and increasing throughput.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address challenges and improve efficiencies.
• Perform routine safety checks to ensure a risk-free workspace.

The facility is peanut-free, and designated areas are provided for tobacco use. Cell phones are restricted to specific non-production areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $22.75 / hr.
