Soliant is currently seeking two qualified and passionate Middle School Special Education Resource Teachers to join our educational team in Oregon. Both roles will serve middle school students (grades 68) in a resource room setting. Candidates must be well-versed in IEP development, case management, and differentiated instruction.
Position Details : Position 1 : Full-Year Middle School Resource Teacher
Contract Term : ASAP June 12, 2026
Caseload : Up to 30 students (average around 25)
This is a long-term position responsible for delivering individualized instruction and academic support for students with mild to moderate disabilities. The teacher will also manage the full IEP process for assigned students, working closely with school staff, parents, and service providers to ensure student success in inclusive and pull-out settings.
Position 2 : Maternity Leave Coverage Middle School Resource Teacher
Contract Term : ASAP January 2026
Caseload : Up to 30 students (average around 25)
This temporary position covers a maternity leave and is ideal for a teacher who can quickly acclimate to an existing system and maintain continuity of services. The selected candidate will assume instructional duties and case management responsibilities for the duration of the leave.
Key Responsibilities (Both Positions) :
Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with each students IEP goals and academic needs
Case manage a caseload of students, including writing, implementing, and updating IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state guidelines
Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation and data
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support inclusive practices and accommodations
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary team discussions
Implement behavior strategies and support positive behavioral interventions where needed
Adapt curriculum and modify materials to meet individual student learning styles and needs
Uphold high expectations for student achievement and behavior
Qualifications :
Valid Oregon Teaching License with Special Education Endorsement
Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
Prior experience in a middle school setting preferred
Strong knowledge of federal and state SPED laws and compliance standards
Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Proficiency in IEP platforms (e.g., SEIS, Synergy, or similar systems) is a plus
Ability to manage a diverse caseload and support inclusion
