A company is looking for a Coder Physician.
Key Responsibilities
Abstract, code, sequence, and interpret clinical information from various medical records
Assign correct principal and secondary diagnosis and procedure codes, ensuring accurate sequencing
Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements while documenting productivity
Required Qualifications and Education
Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
Minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in acute care and profee
Must possess certifications such as CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and / or CCS-P
Experience coding for intensivist in the ICU, with at least two specialties preferred
Familiarity with coding systems like Cerner, Revcycle, and Optum Encoder Pro is preferred
