About the Job

At our rapidly growing practice, Cardiovascular Specialists of New England, we are seeking a detailed Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. You will appropriately and accurately verify the codes are assigned correctly. Additionally, you will have a strong understanding of medical billing and coding procedures, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for medical services rendered. You will report directly to the Office Manager.

What youll do :

  • Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
  • Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
  • Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount
  • Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary
  • Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances
  • Research and appeal denied claims
  • Answer patient or insurance inquiries regarding billed claims

What youll need :

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Proficiency in medical billing, coding, and terminology
  • Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG, and CPT codes
  • Experience with medical office procedures and medical collections
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
  • Work Location :

    You will work out of Manchester, New Hampshire or Londonderry, NH office based on needs of the offices.

    Additional Information

    Full-time base hourly rate of to per hour plus medical, dental, and vision.
