About The Position

Description :

We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Behavioral Health.

This position focuses on providing care within a behavioral health setting during night shifts.

The work schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

On-call duty is required, with the expectation of two shifts per six-week period as call coverage.

Weekend shifts are also required, with a total of two shifts per contract during weekends.

The unit caters to adults and geriatric patients, with an emphasis on treating various psychiatric conditions.

Daily patient census averages around 15 individuals.

Support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, and social services.

Patient diagnoses include but are not limited to bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety-related conditions.

The unit features a 15-bed geriatric psychiatric section and an 11-bed acute adult section.

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in managing assaultive behavior and other critical psychiatric nursing skills.

Pass / fail testing will be conducted on the first day of orientation for essential competencies.

Attendance is closely monitored, and excessive absences may result in contract cancellation.

Modules for training are not required.
