As a Studio Team Member, you'll deliver exceptional customer service, guiding guests through their pottery projects and offering creative advice. Youll ensure the studio stays clean and organized, manage bookings and inventory, and assist in coordinating events. While no artistic skill or prior pottery knowledge is required, a passion for creativity and a willingness to learn are essential. We provide training on all techniques and processes!General Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide an excellent customer experience by being friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeableAssist customers with art techniques and pricingHandle checkout transactions efficientlyGlaze and fire customer creationsPackage and manage customer pickupsPromote studio events and partiesPerform opening and closing tasksMaintain constant cleanliness of the studioClearly and consistently communicate with other team members and provide detailed status reports and hand-offsAnswer phone and text messages and relay information as neededStock shelves, manage supplies, and conduct inventoryAssist with store promotions (e.g., taking photos or videos for social media)Participate in staff meetings and training sessionsPaint pottery samplesUphold the high quality and standards of Color Me Mine, including the Guiding PrinciplesWorking Conditions & Physical RequirementsRequires the ability to stand for hours, walk, bend, squat, reach above shoulder, and lift boxes or inventory items up to 30 poundsRequires hand / wrist / arm strength to be able to shake glaze off pottery piecesRequires the ability to use power tools such as drills and rotary tools (i.e. Dremel tool)Our work with pottery and glaze generates dust; PPE is available to protect against excessive inhalation of particulatesQualificationsIdeal candidates : Excel at customer service in a fast-paced environment and have prior customer service experienceEnjoy working with customers and as part of a teamAre eager to learn new skills and pursue continuous improvementAre detail-oriented, responsible, reliable, and communicativeAre able to remain calm and professional in challenging situationsAre comfortable with technologyPay, Hours, and PerksStarts at $16.50 / hour + tipsExpected hours : 12 - 24+ hours per week; must be available on weekendsWorking hours are approximately between 9 : 30AM and 9 : 30PM every dayFree snacks while on shift and employee discountsColor Me Mine Natomas is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
