We’re looking for a Rhapsody Integration expert skilled in HL7, ELR / eCR, and interoperability to help improve how critical health data flows between providers, labs, and the CDC. In this role, you’ll : Design and optimize Rhapsody routes and integrations supporting disease surveillance and case reporting Modernize legacy processes into secure, efficient, best-practice solutions Collaborate with IT leaders, vendors, and health program teams to ensure reliable data exchange and uptime About the Role We’re looking for a System Software Programmer experienced in Rhapsody Integration, HL7 messaging, and public health data interoperability (eCR / ELR). In this role, you’ll help modernize critical disease surveillance systems, ensuring reliable data flow between healthcare providers, labs, and public health systems. You’ll design, build, and optimize integration routes and processes within the Rhapsody Environment, collaborating closely with technical teams, state health staff, and vendor partners to deliver high-impact, secure, and scalable solutions. What You’ll Do Design, develop, and maintain Rhapsody routes and integrations supporting eCR and ELR data exchange. Monitor and troubleshoot production routes to ensure uptime and reliability. Rewrite and modernize legacy processes into Rhapsody using updated coding standards and best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to perform gap analyses, define functional requirements, and build technical specifications. Support system upgrades, configuration changes, and new environment setup. Mentor teammates, conduct code reviews, and promote consistent coding and documentation standards. Work closely with vendors and DPH staff to ensure successful onboarding of providers and partners using HL7, CDA, and related standards. Prepare and maintain system and architecture documentation. What You’ll Bring 5+ years experience with Rhapsody Integration Engine (v6+) 5+ years with Symphonia Mapping Language (SML) 5+ years with HL7 (v2.3.1–2.5.1; ORU, ORM) 3+ years SQL (advanced joins) 5+ years JavaScript 2+ years XML / XSD / XPath 2+ years Web Services (SOAP) Experience with ECR / EICR / RR / CDA / CCDA formats 1+ year Windows Server OS administration Rhapsody Certification strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree or 9+ years equivalent experience Why Join HTC?
