Position Overview

We are hiring two (2) dedicated Paralegals to join our team on site at our Laguna Hills office. These are pivotal roles critical to advancing our clients' cases. Each works closely with the supervising attorney from intake through resolution, with particular emphasis on pre-litigation strategy and support. For matters in litigation, Elite's investments in advanced software significantly reduces time spent on rote and mundane activities like discovery responses—freeing time for more substantive, hands-on contributions.

The ideal candidates will bring prior experience in a law office or legal environment, with a strong preference for those who have worked in employment law or civil litigation. Candidates must be comfortable managing a high caseload, conducting sensitive client interviews by phone, and drafting professional, analytical correspondence. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong legal writing abilities and a high degree of attention to detail. Candidates must be highly organized, proactive team players, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing case planning, development, and tracking from intake through resolution
• Drafting, reviewing, and analyzing legal documents in both pre-litigation and litigation matters
• Strategizing with attorneys and support staff regarding case development
• Communicating professionally with clients, potential clients, witnesses, and third parties
• Conducting detailed client intake and fact-gathering calls
• Filing documents with state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies
• Using legal software (e.g., Clio, Westlaw / Lexis) to manage case files and research
• Assisting at depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed
• Compiling, organizing, and analyzing complex information to support case strategy
• Contributing to team meetings, case updates, and overall case management
• Maintaining accurate documentation of all case activity in the firm's case management system
• Meeting productivity and quality benchmarks related to case progress and written deliverables

Consistent with California's Pay Transparency Law, the anticipated pay range is $25.00 - $55.00 / hr. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and the individual's ability to meet the demands of the role. The range is provided as an initial approximation at the time of posting and may vary based on the individual's unique qualifications and experience.
