Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D)

End Date : January 12, 2026

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Shift : 3x12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekends : Every other weekend required

Call : No call required

Floating : May float to postpartum unit within the hospital

EMR : Med Host

Orientation : 16 hours

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Arkansas or compact state (must be in hand before start date)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

BLS and PALS certifications required

Two professional references required at time of submission

First-time travel nurses welcome

Ability to float to postpartum unit as needed

Must meet facility credentialing and background check requirements

L&D Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit (120 births YTD and growing)

Monitor, assess, and document patient status throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum period

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care

Maintain accurate documentation in Med Host EMR system

Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Float to postpartum unit as needed
