Evs Tech I

Our Evs Tech I is responsible for maintaining hospital facilities in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Hours of Shift : 3 : 30 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Weekends : Every other

FTE : 1.0

Qualifications

Experience :

  • Previous experience in institutional and / or commercial housekeeping is preferred.
  • Familiarity with waxing and stripping floors is also preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Working Conditions :

  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Physical demands include repetitive hand motions, walking, standing, and reaching above the head.
  • Potential exposure to infectious diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and body fluids.
  • Occasional exposure to varying temperatures (heat and cold) and humidity, as well as biological hazards.
  • Frequent exposure to chemicals, dirt, oil, grease, noise, odors, wet slippery floors, and working independently.

    • Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning of all patient-use areas, restrooms, offices, and engage in project cleaning as needed.
  • Execute tasks such as scrubbing, mopping, polishing, and using appropriate chemical mixtures.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with patients, the general public, physicians, hospital personnel, and outside entities.
  • Uphold Jacksonville Memorial Hospital's behavioral standards.
  • Collaborate effectively and positively with team members.
  • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with co-workers and management.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Be flexible with work schedules, hours, and assignments.
  • Adhere to regular attendance and punctuality policies.
  • Perform other related duties as required or requested.
