Join Our Team as a Thoracic Surgeon in Columbus, OH The Mount Carmel Health System, part of Trinity Health, is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced BC / BE Thoracic Surgeon to further develop a specialized program in Columbus, OH. Our facility is committed to delivering advanced healthcare and patient-centered services within a supportive and collaborative environment. Job Responsibilities : Perform all aspects of general thoracic surgery, excluding transplantation. Participate in a mix of surgical cases and outpatient visits. Lead initiatives to grow the thoracic surgery volume and program. Engage with a multidisciplinary team, including 18 pulmonary / critical care physicians. Utilize a DaVinci Xi robot for surgical procedures. Provide consultative services at the hospital. Maintain a patient-centered, team-based approach to delivering quality care. Document patient information using the EPIC EMR system. Participate in weekend call rotation (1 : 4 ratio). Qualifications : Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery (within 2 years). Fellowship-trained in Thoracic Surgery. Clean malpractice and license history. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Commitment to professional development and ongoing education. License and Certification Requirements : Active Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain. ACLS certification or willingness to obtain. DEA registration or ability to obtain.
