Job Description

As a Security Professional - Healthcare Buildings in N. Las Vegas, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will play a critical role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and staying visible throughout the facility. Your presence and exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and patients. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required .

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)

Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed

Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, participate in emergency response activities within the healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and help to deter undesirable activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents to appropriate personnel and / or law enforcement as required.
  • Assist with controlling access to the facility, monitor entrances, and verify the credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergencies and / or drills by providing clear communication and guidance to occupants as needed.

  • Availability across various days and shifts
  • Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
  • A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
