• Contract Duration : 8 weeks\n
• Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30)\n
• Hours per Week : 36\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130\n
• Patient Population : Adults & Geriatrics\n
• Unit Size : 44 beds\n
• Patient Ratio : 1 : 7-8 (team nursing model may be used)\n
• EMR : Cerner\n
• Medication System : Omnicell\n
• Weekend Coverage : Required\n
• Floating : May be required within skill set\n\nMed / Surg Tele RN Qualifications\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience\n
• Active Registered Nurse license (Tennessee or compact state)\n
• BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required\n
• ACLS certification preferred\n
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start\n
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred\n
• Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions only)\n
• Previous travel nursing experience required\n\nMed / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities\n
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diagnoses including COPD exacerbation, CHF exacerbation, pneumonia, sepsis, encephalopathy, AFib, GI bleeding, and acute kidney injury\n
• Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and perform phlebotomy\n
• Care for patients with feeding tubes, administer heparin and insulin, and manage pre / post hemodialysis\n
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and provide telemetry monitoring\n
• Implement isolation precautions and infection control protocols\n
• Float to other units or hospitals within the healthcare system as needed\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services\n
