We provide on-board liquid hydrogen energy storage and fuel cell power system integration services to unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturers. We work with hydrogen suppliers to provide liquid hydrogen refueling services for UAV operators.

At NEOEx Systems, we are working on an Energy and Power System and a Liquid Hydrogen Refueling System, which will revolutionize drone transportation by providing energy and power for longer duration and range operations. We work closely with UAV manufacturers to integrate our energy and power system into their vehicles to increase flight duration.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to plan, manage and lead the design and development efforts under limited direction. This role will be responsible to design and integrate mechanical systems into ground support equipment for fueling aircraft and for microgrid systems that will include energy generation and energy storage using battery energy storage systems. In addition, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will support the development of electric flight vehicles using design, analytical, and experimental skills to support company research and product development activities.
This role will report to the Sr. Director of Operations.
Duties :
- Understand and actively manage system design requirements, conduct system DFMEA's, design reviews and utilize other robust engineering practices such as DOE's, tolerance stackups, limit testing, FEA, etc. to bring new products through production into the marketplace predictably.
- Prepare clean, accurate, graphic representations showing all necessary section views, dimensions, and details using SolidWorks as well as to update, correct and make necessary changes to existing drawings and specifications
- Prepare component details, assembly details, subassembly drawings and bill of materials
- Liaison with vendors and engineering staff for the specification and sourcing of raw materials, components and final products
- Assure product quality with thorough validation of production fabrication and installation processes.
- Set examples for excellence in engineering practice and rigor by successfully coaching / mentoring junior engineers inside and outside of peer reviews as well as design reviews.
- Establish and conceptualize the initial product specifications and architecture for assigned projects, following through to design release.
- Work with management and engineering team to discuss product application and project specifications
- Understanding of air flow, thermodynamics and sound level dynamics including measurement and instrumentation
- Make on-site vendor visits to ensure that the product is being developed to meet user, safety and quality requirements
- Prepares progress reports as required to present to management through the duration of the project, reports any concerns and gets approval for necessary changes
- Identity ways to improve productivity and safety
