American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CT licensure, trauma center experience, and rotating shifts.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospitalLevel I Trauma Center with a large bed capacityShift schedule is four 12-hour day shifts per week (7 : 00 to 19 : 00)Average patient ratio is 1 : 6 for both days and nightsRequired to work every other weekendFloating within scope may be required to meet facility needsCharting is performed in Epic EMR and experience is preferredAssignment may include rotating to different campuses within the systemTravelers will not be assigned trauma / rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health unitsModules totaling approximately two hours must be completed prior to start and annuallyReturn staff must have been gone for at least two years before being eligible to return as a travelerNo on-call responsibilities are requiredTime off requests greater than seven days require facility approvalTeam-based work environment in a high-acuity setting\n \n Requirements\n
Active CT RN license required or ability to obtain prior to start (pending license accepted)Required certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)At least 1.5 years of ER nursing experience at a similar large trauma center is requiredFirst-time travelers will not be consideredFlu vaccine is required with no declinations acceptedCOVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless exempted for religious or medical reasonsOne professional reference requiredMust not have been a permanent staff member within the last two years to be considered as a travelerLocal candidates within 75 miles are not eligible for this position\n Benefits\n
