Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Behavioral Health experience.

Description :

The unit offers 19 beds dedicated to behavioral health.

The staff includes 45 total unit staff members.

On the day shift, the team consists of 3 RNs, 2 Mental Health Technicians, 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Discharge Planner, 1 Recreational Therapist, and 2 Clinical Therapists.

The night shift team also has 3 RNs and 2 Mental Health Technicians.

Patient ratios typically range from 1 : 6 to 1 : 7.

The unit utilizes some medical equipment, including wheelchairs, cycler dialysis equipment, and occasional wound vacs or dressings.

The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech.

Preferred candidates will have additional medical experience and familiarity with Meditech.

Typical procedures performed on the unit include blood glucose checks, medication administration, and documentation assessments.

Dressing changes are rare but may occur.

The best personality fit for the role is someone who is outgoing and hardworking.

Some weekend shifts will be required, with 3-4 shifts scheduled every 4 weeks.

Navy blue scrubs are the required dress code.
