About the Role

We're looking for a solutions-focused and client-centric leader to join our team as Manager, Asset Recovery & Transportation. In this role, you'll lead one of the portfolio streams within Element Fleet Management, responsible for establishing supplier contracts, managing asset recovery operations, and overseeing transportation activities for our Delivery Service Provider (DSP) programs. You'll work directly with clients to ensure service excellence while driving process improvements and foster collaboration across teams.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and manage processes for recovering assets from client drivers, service centers, and impound lots.
  • Identify process improvement and technology integration opportunities to enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee transportation operations, managing approximately 10,000 asset pickup and driver handover requests annually.
  • Ensure transportation SLAs are met for all pickup and recovery initiatives.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of 5-8 professionals supporting recovery and transportation functions.
  • Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities to direct reports.
  • Manage DSP financial recovery efforts by negotiating settlement agreements and ensuring proper handovers.
  • Partner closely with clients, internal stakeholders, and vendors to align asset recovery goals with broader business objectives.
  • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement projects related to asset lifecycle management.
  • Promote alignment between client expectations and internal execution to drive satisfaction and long-term partnership success.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading projects in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record in process management and operational excellence.
  • Experience managing cross-functional and multi-location teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change, handle escalations, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (intermediate or higher).
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • College / University degree.
  • Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or higher.
  • Strong influencing, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Location : Hopkins, MN

    The hiring base salary range for this position is $98,200 - $135,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
