Position Overview
The Engineering Manager will lead engineering, document control, and maintenance teams to ensure operational excellence, process optimization, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, problem-solving, and technical expertise within a regulated medical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the engineering and maintenance teams, focusing on development, training, and succession planning.
- Oversee daily maintenance activities, preventive maintenance schedules, and facility improvement projects.
- Manage document control, including work instructions, process checklists, technical specifications, and manufacturing drawings.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process parameters.
- Design and develop fixtures, tools, and test jigs to support production and quality control.
- Perform equipment and process validations, statistical process studies, and design of experiments (DOE) to minimize variation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects, track milestones, and provide regular progress updates.
- Support cost reduction initiatives, capital projects, and material / process improvement efforts.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
- Act as a customer advocate by ensuring high-quality products and exceptional service delivery.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related discipline).Minimum 7+ years of experience in Manufacturing Process Engineering, preferably within the medical components or device industry.At least 3+ years in a managerial or leadership capacity.Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality systems.Proven track record in process validation, data-driven decision-making, and documentation control.Excellent analytical, organizational, and technical writing skills.Self-motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented professional with strong leadership abilities.J-18808-Ljbffr
