GSPT (GEOKON Swiss Precision and Turning), is a small machine shop with less than 25 employees. GSPT is a true team-oriented company on a daily working with a close niche group to produce quality parts in an abundance. Although the team is small in the Brattleboro shop, it does extend to our Lebanon location as well, as we often team up on orders and other events.

GSPT is looking for a Machinist to work primarily on our Swiss Lathe machines, both Citizen and Star models. The Machinist will produce high precision parts for both internal and external customers and ensure effective production operation and optimize process and procedures.

• Plan machining to specifications of job, drawings and material
• Interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances
• Loads programs into lathes according to prints
• Loads machine by lifting stock into position
• Verifies setting by measuring positions, first run part and adjusting accordingly
• Record daily production data
• Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of machines
• May operate more than one machine at a time
• Monitor product quality and adhere to standard operating procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement
