Sitting on a quiet tree-lined street in Soho, twelve floors rise above the neighborhood’s storied lofts, boutiques, and galleries. The name derives from the particular manner of hospitality, one that feels more like staying at the home of a dear friend than at a hotel — discreet, refined, generous. Our hotel has 90 rooms and suites with four distinct F&B concepts led by an acclaimed chef. The street-side seafood restaurant and second floor cocktail bar will be venues that are open to the public. The Apartment and The Rooftop are spaces reserved exclusively for guests and friends of guests. While our hotel falls under the Standard International umbrella, it will be positioned as a wholly distinct and separate concept from The Standard with a different market positioning, design aesthetic, and service culture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer the In-Room dining phone in a timely and courteous manner, take guests’ food and beverage orders accurately
- Follow SOP’s on placing orders with allergies and dietary restrictions
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner when delivering orders
- Maintain accurate setup and delivery of all food and beverage orders according to Company standards and procedures
- Set up and deliver all room amenities in a timely manner
- Regularly walk the guest floors to retrieve in-room dining items
- Respond to all guest needs, questions, and issues in a timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction
- Clean tables, re-stock tableware and other in-room dining supplies
- Follow the posted opening and closing duties and side-work sheet
- Attend daily pre-shift communication meetings & monthly departmental meetings
- Generate a good atmosphere
- Set up the complimentary tea, coffee and pastry breakfast in the apartment
- Set up the mid day snacks and aperitivo hours in the apartment
- Serve our hotel guests in the apartment area as per the standard
- All other responsibilities assigned by Management
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have experience in a luxury hotel environment or similar restaurant or food and beverage settingMust have open availability including weekends and holidaysPositive, engaging, and energetic personalityAble to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervisionVery high attention to detailSensitive to cultural nuancesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal in EnglishAble to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environmentExcellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure and with various stakeholdersAbility to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policiesAbility to carry, push, and pull heavy loads; standing, bending and lifting will be requiredMulti-lingual is a plusTIPS Certified
