Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Marquette, MI 49855 (Upper Peninsula)

Facility : 225-bed specialty care hospital

Unit : Acute Medical / Surgical (Med / Surg, 6th Floor)

Trauma Level : II

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am)

Hours per Week : 36 (guaranteed)

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026)

Weekend Hours : Rotating weekends

Patient Ratio : 5 : 1 to 6 : 1

Equipment : Telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, Bladder scanner, Dynamaps

EHR System : Cerner

Dress Code : Galaxy Blue or Navy scrubs

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2200 - $2360

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Michigan preferred)

ACLS certification required

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a medical / surgical unit (2 years preferred)

Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and ability to work independently

Experience in fast-paced, acute care hospital settings

Willingness to float to similar units as needed

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients (ages 18+)

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Cerner EHR

Administer medications, manage IVs, and utilize advanced telemetry equipment

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including dress code and infection control standards

Participate in rotating weekend shifts and float assignments as required
