Job Title : Electrical Engineer Power Distribution Systems

Job Type : Full-Time / Direct Hire

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with expertise in power distribution systems and strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and / or institutional projects. This role requires a collaborative team player who understands industry codes and standards and can deliver quality electrical designs that are efficient, code-compliant, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and develop electrical power distribution systems, including low and medium voltage systems.
  • Prepare electrical plans, schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, and civil engineers throughout the design and construction process.
  • Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and circuiting based on NEC and other applicable codes.
  • Participate in field surveys, site visits, and construction administration activities as needed.
  • Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and assist with troubleshooting during construction phases.
  • Ensure designs meet client requirements, project budgets, and timelines.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry standards in electrical engineering and building systems.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 35+ years of experience in electrical system design, specifically power distribution.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local building codes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • EIT certification is preferred; PE license is a plus.
  • Preferred Experience :

  • Experience working on commercial, healthcare, educational, or industrial building projects.
  • Familiarity with lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and emergency power systems.
  • $90,000 - $110,000 a year
