About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to lead our FinOps Reporting & Metrics function. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining executive dashboards, tracking KPIs across all FinOps pillars, and enabling data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Power BI, understand technology financials, and thrive in a cross-functional environment that includes Finance, Technology Operations, Engineering, and Procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the development and maintenance of FinOps dashboards and reporting tools (Power BI preferred)
- Define and track KPIs across Cloud & Infrastructure, Software Asset Management, and Capacity Planning.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis across all cost segments.
- Partner with FinOps pillar leads to ensure consistent and accurate data inputs.
- Deliver executive-level insights on spend trends, anomalies, and performance metrics
- Facilitate monthly technology leadership forums, providing curated financial insights, trend analysis, and renewal visibility to guide strategic planning and investment decisions
- Work with business partners to gather and understand department funding requirements
- Lead data analysis to support a specific project or team with a strong ability to identify trends, patterns, and develop meaningful insights.
- Identify areas for improvement and suggest changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create clear and comprehensive documentation and communications, ensuring that documentation is easily understandable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuously develop skills and knowledge to improve effectiveness as a technical analyst by staying informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Conduct thorough reviews of documentation and work products to ensure the quality of deliverables.
- Adaptable and open to learning new tools and methodologies as the business landscape evolves.
Requirements
Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis across all cost segments.5+ years of experience in technology, financial reporting, analytics, or business intelligenceStrong verbal, written and presentation skills. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in working with relational databases, data modeling, Snowflake architecture, API integrations, and advanced SQL for data extraction and analysis.Strong analytical and time management skillsAdvanced proficiency in Power BI or similar visualization platformsStrong understanding of IT financials, budgeting, and cost allocation modelsExperience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environmentProven capacity to work independently and manage multiple, completing demands.Excellent communication skills and executive presenceFamiliarity with change management principles is required to facilitate the adoption of new processes or technologies.People and Culture
