Overview Meta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Designer to play a central role in shaping the future of our products. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products and features are valuable, easy to use, and of the highest level of craft and execution. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, data science, UX research, content design, and other disciplines to build great products that address real user needs. You will utilize your full range of product design skills to contribute to high-level strategic decisions and drive transformational experiences for our users. By focusing on people and doing the simple things first, you will help develop quality experiences for some of the world’s biggest problems. To succeed in this role, you should have experience in product design, interaction design, and visual design, as well as an interest in creating innovative solutions that meet user needs.
Base pay range $196,000.00 / yr - $272,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable for our 2 billion+ users and drive product strategy and innovation across a large organization
Design leading-edge concepts through end-to-end flows which impact broad sets of users at scale while using appropriate prototyping tools
Drive design prioritization and execution, maintaining momentum to meet accelerated timelines
Design new experiences or layouts that improve visual systems
Play an active role in communicating strategic decisions around the future direction of products
Give and solicit feedback from a broader product team to continually raise our bar for quality
Act as a cross-functional lead accountable for the success of initiatives, Leaning into workstream operations and processes when needed
Influence and drive alignment on product direction across multiple large organizations and cross-functional partners
Work collaboratively with others, think creatively, and tackle complex challenges
Take on mentorship and coaching opportunities
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field and minimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant field
8+ years of experience building and shipping applications or software at company-scale, leading end-to-end experiences within a large-scale, ambiguous domain
Interaction design experience with ability to define and evangelize how an experience should behave based on user needs, with consideration of scaling and prototyping tools
Visual design experience with proficiency in typography, desktop / mobile UI, color, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense and how these elements impact product function
Strategic product thinking with experience developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making decisions based on impact
Experience presenting work to executives, clearly stating goals and concepts
Preferred Qualifications Examples of leadership beyond product dimensions that strengthen teams and improve the work environment
Experience connecting work with other industry-leading initiatives across the company while driving collaboration
Experience thinking through problems and building zero-to-one solutions
Experience showcasing end-to-end design processes across multiple projects, including interaction and visual design artifacts, iterations, high-fidelity prototypes, and consideration of impact and scale
