Role Overview
The Nursing Assistant (NA) is essential in providing high-quality caregiving to residents in long-term care. You will :
Deliver compassionate, resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under an RN's supervision.Understand age-appropriate care needs related to both physical and psychological well-being as outlined in care plans.Assist with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while providing emotional support.Monitor and document residents' vital signs and any changes in their condition.Help residents during meals and ensure a positive dining experience.Maintain cleanliness in living spaces and assist with laundry services.Promote wellness activities and encourage residents to engage in recreational programs.Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred; not mandatory.Must be at least 16 years of age; prior experience in long-term care is a plus.Must possess a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, or be enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months.Complete annual competency testing and a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education each year.For applicable states, must be certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.Benefits
