About the career :
The Accountant / Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records by tracking and recording transactions, updating the general ledger, reconciling bank statements, prepare invoices, post payments and follow up on outstanding receivables. Reporting to the company Controller. Primary duties involve day-to-day bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial data and produce necessary reports for management analysis.
- Must be very proficient with QuickBooks online version.
- Must have current and previous experience in construction accounting.
- Must be willing to pass an accounting assessment test.
- Not a remote position.
Key responsibilities of a staff accountant :
General ledger maintenance : Recording financial transactions, updating the general ledger, and ensuring accuracy of financial data.Bank statement reconciliation : Matching bank transactions to accounting records and identifying discrepancies.Balance sheet reconciliation : track intercompany transactionsAccounts receivable management : Prepare invoices and following up on outstanding receivables.Data analysis : PL Analyzing. Financial trendsRamp and Credit card analysisInsurance : Request COIs from brokers.Required skills for a staff accountant :
Strong attention to detail : Necessary for accurate record keeping and data entry.Analytical skills : To interpret financial data and identify discrepanciesProficiency in accounting software : Familiarity with QuickBooks Online.Excellent communication skills : To collaborate with colleagues and stakeholdersOrganizational skills : To manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectivelyMathematics skills : To perform calculations accuratelyEducation and experience :
3 or more years’ accounting experience2 years of Construction experience2 years of experience with QuickBooks Online requiredBachelor's degree in accounting or related field - requiredExperience with MS Office productsStrong organizational skillsCustomer care and clear communication skillsMust be self-directed and able to work independently, while also work well with othersConscientiousness - Displays a high level of effort and commitment towards performing work and demonstrates responsible behavior.Organization - highly detail oriented, organized, and able to prioritize time management.Interpersonal skills - Shows, courtesy, tact, empathy, cooperation, concern, and politeness to others and relates well to different people.Job Type : Full-time
