    Coverage Requirements

  • On-Call

    • Beeper call required with phone consults and call-back as needed

  • Average Patients

    • Volume and call ratios to be determined

    • General anesthesia required, along with adult and specific pediatric cases

    Practice Environment

  • Facility

    • Inpatient services only; this facility does not handle complex trauma or pediatric emergency cases

  • Support Staff

    • No supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) or teaching responsibilities required

  • OR Skills Required

    • Cardiac, thoracic, and complex orthopedic surgeries are not performed at this facility

  • General anesthesia with spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia surgery capabilities required
  • Specific procedural skills in pain management techniques, ventilation management, central and arterial line placements, and anesthesia for neurosurgical and obstetrical cases

  • Board Certification

    • Board-certified anesthesiologists required

  • Licenses

    • West Virginia medical license required

  • Certifications

    • Must have ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS

    • Expected timeframe for credentialing is 30-60 days; temporary privileges available for qualified candidates
