Description :

We are seeking a dedicated Travel RN for the Labor and Delivery specialty.

The unit has a total of 26 beds with a staff of 112.

The team consists of a Clinical Nurse Consultant, nurses, surgical technicians, and unit clerks.

During high-risk labor and C-sections, the nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 1.

For antepartum, PPROM, and PTL patients on magnesium, the ratio is 1 : 2.

Postpartum patients on magnesium without a baby have a ratio of 1 : 3.

Typical procedures performed in this unit include C-sections, inductions, AROM, IUPC, DFM, and Doppler monitoring.

The unit is equipped with Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, telemetry equipment, and monitors.

The electronic medical records system used is CPN Gold and Meditech.

We have a supportive leadership team that actively engages with staff and provides assistance as needed.

Our approach focuses on team nursing, where cooperation and support are emphasized among staff members.

Self-scheduling is available, which enhances staff satisfaction.

The unit boasts many tenured nurses with extensive experience, ranging from 20 to 40 years.

A new OB Hospitalist program recently began, offering added support during triage and for the residency program.
