A private, non-profit organization that provides foster care services, is seeking additional foster care license assessor, due to increasing traffic of new applicants. This is a good thing because it means we are growing. The persons we select for this position will be responsible for the task of conducting home study visits, interviews, safety audit or walkthrough, request fire inspection from the local fire department, and completion of home study.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
- The assessor is responsible to gather, collate, and input all required information from new foster care applicants and existing foster parents into the State automated child welfare system (SACWIS), as obtained.
- S / he will schedule and provide pre-service training for new applicants or register applicants for the training through another provider / agency.
- S / he will ensure consistent documentation of contacts, update information in SACWIS, and ensure accuracy.
- S / he will conduct home visits and complete home study reports timely, ups as required.
- S / he will individual training needs assessment (ITNA) and ongoing training plans for foster families.
- Work closely and collaboratively with case management staff to promote successful caregiving.
- Provide Cooperative work with agency director for ongoing guidance and support.
ELIGIBITY REQUIREMENTS :
Have a bachelor's degree in social work.Have an active LSW license or be eligible for the licensure exam in Ohio.If license is from out-of-state, s / he must be willing to work toward obtaining an Ohio social work license.Possess foster care assessor certification. If not, eligible to complete state mandated Tiers-I & II certification training.Monitor and maintain foster family files safely and accurately.
