Job Description

Job Title : Senior Patient Registrar

Location : Flushing, NY 11355

Shift : 9AM – 6PM, M-F

Duration : 5 Months with a strong possibility of extension

Pay Range : $21 / hour - 27 / hour on W2

Job Summary :

  • Verify patient identities, obtain necessary authorizations or consent, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Confirm insurance coverage, pre-authorize services, and explain billing processes or payment options to patients.

Requirements :

  • 1-3 yrs clerical exp in medical office setting (required)
  • Bilingual : Spanish - Preferred
  • Exp in EMR, managed care insurance.
  • Data entry skills of 4500 keystrokes (required).
  • Knowledge of health insurance benefits / requirement, Coding : ICD 9, CPT-4 (Preferred)
  • Exp scheduling procedures.
  • Strong analytical, organizational & time management skills.
  • Exp w / prior authorization for imaging and medication, insurance verifications.
