Compensation : Based on experience (Negotiable)\n\nPosition Summary\n\nThe Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) provides direct patient care to critically ill adult patients requiring complex assessment, high-intensity therapies, and continuous monitoring. The RN is responsible for delivering evidence-based nursing care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring the highest level of patient safety and outcomes in a fast-paced, technologically advanced ICU environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established hospital protocols and nursing standards.\n
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.\n
Administer medications, manage ventilators, and monitor hemodynamic parameters.\n
Collaborate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.\n
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and ongoing care needs.\n
Respond promptly to emergency situations using advanced critical care techniques.\n
Maintain accurate documentation of all patient care activities.\n
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Requirements\n
Experience : Minimum 1 year of recent Acute Care RN experience (within the last 3 years).\n
Prefer experience in higher-acuity settings (e.g., Stepdown, ICU).\n
Strong Med / Surg RNs will be considered.\n
Licensure : \n
Active Florida RN license or approved multistate (compact) RN license required.\n
Compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days of relocation.\n
Education : Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.\n
Certifications : \n
Basic Life Support (BLS – AHA) – must be obtained within 30 days of start date.\n
