Junior Project Manager – HVAC Sheet Metal Ductwork

In-Office | Full-Time | Staff Force

Staff Force is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager for one of our clients, specializing in commercial HVAC and sheet metal ductwork projects . This role is primarily in-office, with occasional travel to project sites or partner offices. The Junior PM will play a key role in coordinating project operations, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC and sheet metal ductwork projects from start to finish
  • Collaborate with estimators, engineers, and senior project managers on submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules
  • Maintain accurate project records, logs, and documentation
  • Coordinate with field crews to ensure timely material deliveries, duct fabrication, and manpower alignment
  • Review mechanical drawings, ductwork layouts, and specifications to confirm scope and compliance
  • Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to resolve project issues
  • Participate in project meetings (in-person or virtual) and provide detailed follow-ups
  • Support project budget management, job cost tracking, and reporting
  • Remain primarily in-office for project administration, with occasional site visits required

Requirements :

  • 1–3 years of experience in HVAC and sheet metal ductwork projects (including internships or field coordination)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and ductwork layouts required

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Hands-on experience with Procore or other project management software
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or project scheduling tools
  • Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required)
