Job Summary
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team! As an Occupational Therapist, you will be meeting with several patients in a day, discussing their treatment needs and ultimate goals, and crafting customized, comprehensive therapy plans for them. You will also work closely with other doctors or members of their health team to arrange follow-up care, help educate patients on lifestyle changes they may need, and provide a positive, affirming presence in their lives. The ideal candidate has a compassionate style of care, has strong communication and interpersonal skills, and is comfortable handling multiple different cases at a time.
Responsibilities
Meet with patients from many different backgrounds and compassionately discuss their health concerns and therapy needsConduct evaluations to determine a starting point for each patientCreate a therapy plan specific to each patient that will help them meet their mobility goalsWork closely with other members of each patients care team to provide adequate follow-up careMaintain excellent records of patient therapy and progressQualifications
Must hold the required state license for occupational therapyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations as needed.Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and client needs.Ability to pass background checks and meet other employment requirements as necessary.The ability to stay positive and compassionate over a long period of time with patientsPreferred Qualifications :
Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral challenges.Previous experience working with the Jewish community and diverse age groups.Familiarity with the implementation of therapy in various settings (e.g., schools, homes, community).Experience using technology and software for data collection and analysisAbout PLAY THINKS :
