Security Professional - Access Control - Part Time

As a Security Professional - Access Control - Part Time in Paulsboro, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. You will also provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Pay Rate : $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Fri 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Sat 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the chemical or petrochemical location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Assist in implementing site-specific security-related procedures and policies, adapting to the unique requirements of the environment.
  • Provide customer service by addressing questions and concerns from employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to company and site guidelines.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to maintain a secure environment tailored to the chemical or petrochemical setting.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by TSA is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
