Job Purpose

The Compliance Training & Development IDS Analyst is responsible for the completion of reliability data in the Interruption and Disturbance System (IDS) received from reported electric outages in the Outage Management System (OMS) for upstate New York.

Key Accountabilities

  • Complete IDS data analysis for outages in a timely manner
  • Work with Control Centers, Reliability and Analytics, Forestry and Reliability Engineers to accurately report outages
  • Complete / create reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Emergency Response,
  • CCO (Control Center Operations) Scorecard, and
  • Police and Fire Electric Emergency.
  • Provide emergency storm assignment support when company emergencies occur

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience in electric operations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of switching techniques
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements for New York
  • Basic design and construction knowledge of electric overhead and underground distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical apparatus, application, operation, and construction practices
  • Knowledge of the Outage Management Systems (OMS) and PORT (Power Out Reporting Tool).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to perform in a team environment, work as an independent contributor, collaborate with others, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and various business related software such as Power Point, Excel, PowerBI, SharePoint and Word.
  • Electric utility company experience desired

    Salary

    $84k - $119k a year
