The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing routine and specialized MRI procedures while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of safety and image quality. This role supports physicians during diagnostic procedures, ensures compliance with MRI safety policies, and contributes to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Job Responsibilities :
- Perform routine MRI and MRA procedures following established protocols.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and special procedures using proper sterile technique.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all imaging procedures.
- Optimize scan protocols and imaging quality for accurate diagnostic results.
- Maintain equipment functionality through regular quality control checks.
- Accurately document patient and exam information in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate effectively with the patient care team to deliver excellent service.
- Follow all hospital and departmental safety and compliance standards.
Job Requirements :
Completion of an accredited MRI training program required.American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.MRI certification (ARRT or ARMRIT) or registry-eligible at time of hire; certification required within 6 months if eligible.0+ years of relevant MRI experience (new graduates welcome).Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and push / pull up to 50 lbs.Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations.Equipment used includes : MRI units (various vendors), contrast injectors, Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and PACS.Job Details :
