Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Work effectively in isolation precaution situations
- Create a safe environment for patients on One-to-One Supervision for Suicide Precautions, Behavioral Restraints, Line of Sight, or Patient Safety
- Perform frequent checks on patients with a Patient Watch Order
- Guide patients to prevent falls or wandering
- Record and document patient behavior accurately
- Travel with patients as needed
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required, training provided during orientationPrevious hospital experience preferredExperience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, or Medical Assistant preferredExperience as an EMT or Nurse's Aide training preferredCurrent Nursing or Psychology students preferredAbility to stay mobile, including standing for extended periods, is necessaryAbility to work in isolation precaution situationsQuick learner with adaptability to changing patient needs, strong accountability, teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and a passion for high-quality care are essentialIf you believe you're a good fit for this role, please apply today!
